Primo

Summer is in full swing, and I haven't got a job.  Instead, I've been painting a lot, sketching a lot, and working some stylistic ideas out before school begins.  As a prologue to that, however...

This past semester I studied in Rome with RISD's European Honor's Program.  Here's some of my work from our final show-- two pieces that involve memory:


This is a landscape assembled from different places I'd travelled to in Italy, creating a mnemonic panorama.  Oil on panel.




This painting is about storing a final memory within a space of thoughts.  It was my final piece in Rome.  Oil on panel.
